Purchase, activation, and moving computers

Download the compiled Windows app from GitHub Releases. Purchase a key through License → Purchase a key. Lemon Squeezy issues the key through your receipt and order page. Enter it on the streaming PC's activation screen. One computer slot is consumed for that activation; the exact limit and license term are those listed on your purchased product. The free download does not include a trial or free toolkit access.

The app checks the configured store, product and permitted variant before creating a computer activation. A key for another product cannot unlock Studio. Re-entering an already saved key validates the same computer instance. Your Windows account and machine identity bind the encrypted activation record to this installation context. Do not switch Windows users or erase the record to free an activation.

License → Deactivate this computer frees the provider instance after online confirmation. Then enter the same purchase key on your new PC. If the old PC is lost, an activation response was lost, or the local Windows account was deleted, contact the publisher using your purchase receipt; the publisher can remove obsolete instances. Never post the full key in a GitHub issue.

Internet is required to activate, deactivate and periodically validate. A successfully activated app normally revalidates at startup and every 12 hours. Temporary network failures permit up to 72 hours since the last successful validation in the default build; the License screen shows the actual deadline. The publisher may choose another bounded grace period. A confirmed rejection, disabled key or expiry blocks new toolkit operations immediately. Fix incorrect Windows date/time before troubleshooting activation.

Activation loss does not automatically stop OBS or a running broadcast. License management preserves output stop controls. Use them or OBS to end your stream safely. A license is for SHXRM's management features; bundled third-party tools retain their own licenses. Activation is not a promise of offline use forever or resistance to all reverse engineering.

The owner login protects your dashboard. It is distinct from the purchase key. Authorizing mobile/browser access to the same activated PC does not create a second computer instance. A friend's OBS receiving your camera does not require your owner login or key; installing a separate SHXRM toolkit requires their own permitted license activation.
